Letters to Miss Baker was successfully launched during a weekend which saw Kingsbury High School celebrate the centenary of the original Kingsbury County School, founded in Colindale prior to moving to the Princes Lane site in 1932.

The book took its place amidst displays, tours and musical events designed to highlight the rich history of the school and the successes of its alumni.

Letters to Miss Baker tells the story of hundreds of those Kingsbury alumni, from the years of the Second World War, including those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of democracy. The five hundred letters they wrote to Miss Baker are testament to the strength of community the school had succeeded in creating.
